I'm pretty sure that's just a contest out of a magazine were you could win the game and the watch as an extra seperate goodie. So it probably was not packed in with eachother.

Seeing the lay-out of it, this probably got out of the British Nintendo Official Magazine (NOM), ONM nowadays. I could check my old issues of NOM to see if this contest is in it.

Alright, so i managed to change it succesfully.
Now i want to boot it on my NTSC system, but i don't have the original Toki No Ocarina. Any other specific games and boot-emulators that i have to use?
I believe i don't have any CIC 6105 cartridges.

I'm using a V64jr 512, if you need that info.

(btw: it does boot up on my PAL system with my PAL OoT, but not as it is supposed to as it's made for NTSC)

From what i know, Pokemon Snap was originally going to be released on the 64DD, so maybe that was originally attended to be the RPG?
I could only guess.

Yes it does.

As far as i know the only difference between the north American and Japanese N64 systems is the dust cover, basically the only "region-lock" between the two is that it has two little blocks build into the sides of the dust cover which makes the Japanese cartridges not insert fully.

But yeah, as far as getting your 64DD to work on a US 64, no problem. Only side note i have is that you can't use the modem or capture cartridge with a converter in between(or at least, my converter doesn't recognize it) so you probably have to mod it if you want to use those.

I remember following this guy on Starmen.net who had obtained the mysterious "M3" labeled disks and got the Dev Kit to work... but all it contained was either corrupted or were early versions of released 64DD games.

Now... personally i find that just as fascinating...

Start up your 64DD with no disk inserted and hold down A(or B, i forgot) for a few seconds and a screen will pop up where you can adjust the time and date.

Only reason i can think of is that the "Blue one" is a 2nd edition 64DD, which is a bit more expensive since there aren't many in circulation.

I had a Passport III, it was alright until it just stopped working. Apparantly i'm not the only who had that, so i'd say it's not reliable.

I use the Universal Games Adaptor v4 ever since and i must say i'm quite pleased with it. I haven't encountered any problems and it's relativily cheap (i believe it's somewhere around €25 or so).

1. Ebay is probably the best, you could also try the marketplace of the Japanese Yahoo. Also check out the marketplace of this site frequently because a lot of people tend to sell it here before they want to place it on Ebay.

2. From what i know a standard bundle contains the console, modem, telephone cable, RandnetDD disk and several manuals.

3. I think it all depends on in what condition it is, which edition 64dd you're after, bundled or loose etc. Prices range from $200 to $500.

Prices were between $30 and $60, depending on what game and if there was any accessory bundled with it.

Also, if the 64DD was a bit more popular, i'm pretty sure they would have sold it's games in stores eventually.

I think the biggest reasons were:
- The system was too expensive (for a add-on)
- The Dolphin got more attention from the people (in other words, it was too late)
- You had to subscribe in order to get a 64DD at first, which also costs money
- You had to order the games online

Another game i would like so much to play is Densha de Go. I searched for videos but didn't found. Anyone knows where i can find any gameplay of this game?

Densha de Go!
This is actually footage of Densha de Go!2 for Dreamcast, but it's the exact same game as Densha de Go!64. I really recommend it as it's really fun, especially with the special Train Controller that is made for it. Also, you don't need to understand Japanese to play it properly.

On-topic:
Besides the DD titles i only own 3 Jap-only 64 games.
So, my top 3:

1. Densha de Go! 64 - The idea is pretty dull, but it's actually a lot of fun, especially with it's high arcade-feeling.
2. Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 Ketteihan! - I wouldn;t had bought this if i didn;t had the Tsuri Controller with it, but it's actually a load of fun. The graphics are pretty amazing as well.
3. Doubutsu no Mori - I'm just a big Animal Crossing fan, so i couldn;t miss this one, although i fail at getting new Famicom games. :(
