The now classic Mario spin-off finally shows up on the Wii Virtual Console! The first Mario Tennis game (don't forget Mario Tennis for Virtual Boy!), you can play as all your favorite Mario characters (that were around back then) into some really frantic and polished tennis action.
Sure, Mario Power Tennis for the Gamecube (and it's Wii upgrade) are still available today, but if you feel for some nostalgia, as well as one of the best tennis games ever made, you can't possible go wrong with Mario Tennis.

Planet 3DS launched
Since the initial announcement of the Nintendo 3DS on March 23th, I've been excited about the idea of another 3D console by Nintendo, 15 years after the ill-fated Virtual Boy, which almost instantly manifested itself in plans to create a website about it.
The name "Planet 3DS" was quickly chosen and the domain planet3ds.net registered on the same day. A rather lenghty period of finding a concept for the site followed in which I found two equally enthusiastic co-editors, Herman and Max, but also scrapped just as many ideas as I had for the site. Noticing I was going in circles, I created another site in the mean time. Pokémon-Mini.net, build for my friends from Team Pokémé, is based on WordPress and phpbb and was a perfect test run for Planet 3DS, which will now go the same (or at least a very similar) route.
Since Herman will be attending E3 2010 and the unveiling of Nintendo 3DS from June 15th to 17th, we of course had something like a deadline for getting the site up and running, but many other commitments came in the way. The result of this is the quickly put together, temporary site we have now. Should be enough to get you all the news from E3 until I can find the time to start working on the final site design. I still don't have a definite concept for the site, but we'll see how it develops, so for now, Planet 3DS is hereby going live and open to the public.
Stay tuned for some great days next week when E3 2010 takes place. As mentioned above, Herman will be attending and providing us with the hottest info, photos and video footage every evening. Meanwhile, Max will be in the US as well, albeit not at E3, but in South Carolina, New York City and Washtington D.C., and talk to the press, while I will try to post while being at work. Heh.

The critically acclaimed N64 RPG is finally released on the Wii Virtual Console! For those who are unfamiliar, Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber is a tactical RPG featuring many possible endings, plus a genre-defining character class system.
This strategic epic has retained its place in the hearts of tactical RPG fans for more than a decade, telling the story of Magnus Gallant, a recently graduated officer of the Palatinean Army who is assigned to the troubled southern region of his native land.
There he witnesses the plight of the lower classes – the victims of a tyrannical ruling elite whose only thought is for the preservation of its own lofty status. With civil war brewing, Magnus is faced with a terrible choice: to betray his own noble origins in the name of liberty, or to turn a blind eye to the evils of his rotten society....

Perfect Dark Editor Official Release
March 7, 2010 2:36 pm | SubDrag
Although surreptitiously in the beta version of the editor for months, this is notice of the official release of the Perfect Dark Editor 1.0, "Perfect Editor". The new installation package includes a link to start GoldenEye Setup Editor, Perfect Editor, or the last one used. You have a full featured toolset, although not quite as expansive as GoldenEye, but includes ability to add all new maps, clipping, and as always, setup files with guards, paths, action blocks, objectives, etc. Enjoy! As a note, in GoldenEye Quick Convert was mostly used, but in PD, Quick Inject (F7) must be used instead. Report any bugs, as although it is 1.0, it may not be perfect. You can switch modes in the editor, between GE/PD using Tools -> Switch Game. I've nicknamed it "Perfect Gold", but the monikor may or may not stick. In the coming weeks, expect tutorial updates to include Perfect Dark, videos, and more new levels.

Batch Game Rating Script
In the user menu bar on top of the site, you can now find a link to a batch game rating form (unter the "Submit" tab). This now allows our registered users to quickly rate games all on one site, instead of having to go to each game site to submit a rating. You can rate released N64 and 64DD games as well as unreleased N64 games of which ROM dumps were publically released.
I think that user ratings are a pretty good representation of a game's quality. The more people vote, the more accurate, meaningful and important the average scores (and this site) become.
Therefore, all our current and future users are warmly invited to submit scores for the games he or she has played to fortify the reference status of 64DD.net and its community. Thank you!

Great guide to the entire Nintendo universe!
Great news folks! We have been awarded for our work here on 64DD.net. It's the website to play poker online, named PokerListings.com that has given us this recognition. Here’s what they had to say: “By offering the visitors an in-depth look at the word of Nintendo systems, as well as a thorough run-through of the games, 64DD.net is a great guide to the Nintendo universe!"
