Nintendo har givit ut ett flertal gratis VHS-filmer i både Europa och USA där man visar framtida spel eller promotar redan existerande spel. De gav även ut VHS-filmer till butiksägare så dessa kunde visas i affärerna, samt att vissa tidningar skicka med VHS-filmer där man visade upp nya spel och annat relaterat till N64.
